We The Providence N.E. 49ers would like to THANK ALL THE DRIVERS/PASSENGERS driving on the streets of PROVIDENCE for your SUPPORT. As we stand on the street corners with our signs asking for your support, MANY have stopped and donated spare change and or cash to our organization and it is TRULY APPRECIATED.

Some may ask “what do they do with the money?” Here is your answer: Every penny, nickel or dollar you donate helps the organization to purchase a number of things (mouth pieces, ear pads for helmets, chin straps, kneepads, rib and thigh pads, game or practice jerseys and pants footballs, belts, helmets, equipment and the list goes on.

Once in a while you may have someone make a rude comment “They’re probably pocketing the money!” SO UNFAIR and SO UNTRUE!!! I am one of the volunteer coaches out there holding my football sign while the children are working hard to raise these funds, it would be so unprofessional and disrespectful to steal from these children. As we tell the children before we go to our assigned corners “Show RESPECT, pay attention and ALWAYS say Thank you!” We ask the same of those judging us!
